Iwate Beef is a well-known cross-breed between the Japanese Shorthorn and the Holstein. Found in the Northern part of Iwate prefecture in Japan, the unique and natural environments make it ideal for breeding the cattle, in order to produce meat qualities which are close to, if not similar, to other famous brands of Wagyu Beef itself.
